Dr. Jaimie Mickey

She is a product of both the private and public schools of St. Petersburg, FL. She attended St. Petersburg Christian School for preschool and elementary school, then transitioned to the fundamental public school system to complete her primary school years at Lakeview Elementary School and Southside Middle School. She ultimately completed her secondary school education at her neighborhood school, Northeast High School. She attended the University of South Florida Honors College and graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She attended the University of South Florida College of Medicine where she earned her Medical Degree in 2007. Reluctant to leave sunny Florida, she matched with her first-choice community family medicine residency program at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, FL where she completed an additional 3 years of comprehensive training in adult medicine, pediatrics and gynecology-obstetrics.

Dr. Mickey is board-certified in Family Medicine and started her career locally in 2010 as an employed physician practicing conventional family medicine in Largo, FL for a large health system. After just 1 year of conventional practice, she sought additional education and training in order to bring more comprehensive care to her patients. After attending her first integrative and holistic medical conference in 2011, her view of high-quality health care was forever changed. She made a commitment to continue to expand her knowledge in areas such as nutrition, which was largely left out of her conventional medical training. She continues to attend several family medicine and integrative and holistic medical conferences each year to feed her passion for learning and healing. She became a perpetual Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM)in 2014 after passing their comprehensive examination. She is very eager to finally have the opportunity to more thoroughly apply these holistic medical principles with her patients in her new practice.

Only recently, did her life circumstances (getting married to a very supportive and encouraging husband) allow her to make the huge leap of faith to purse her dream of opening her own integrative and holistic family medicine practice. She can now continue to offer excellent conventional primary care, in addition to cutting edge integrative medical care when conventional care is just not enough.

Most recently she became certified by Worldlink Medical Institute for Preventive and Progressive Medicine in Advanced Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. This is another example of her life-long commitment to continual learning in order to expand her medical repertoire to improve the care of her patients. She is excited to bring high-quality preventive and age management medicine to her new practice!
